A defense plant worth Rs. 2500 crore will be set up in Shivpuri: Union Minister Scindia
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is on a visit to his parliamentary constituency, Guna. During his visit to Kolaras in Shivpuri on Saturday, he announced the establishment of a defense plant worth 2,500 crore rupees.
Union Minister Scindia, on Saturday, the first day of his Shivpuri-Kolaras visit, presented the public with a number of development projects in Kolaras, announcing a massive industrial investment, and announcing that the region would be receiving a 2,500 crore rupee defense plant within the next two months. The plant will be located about 15 kilometers from Kolaras, at the junction of the Kota Highway and the Bombay-Gwalior Highway.
This project will fulfill the district's long-pending industrial demand for the past two decades. Scindia stated that the project is expected to provide direct employment to approximately 2,000 people. Kolaras, previously known for its agriculture, especially tomato production, will now also become an important center for the country's defense power.
The defense equipment manufactured here will play a crucial role in protecting the country's borders, enhancing both the region's pride and contribution. During the program, Union Minister Scindia inaugurated and performed groundbreaking ceremonies for various infrastructure projects worth ₹19.68 crore, giving significant developmental gifts to the Kolaras region.
He performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the boys' and girls' hostels under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Man Yojana, and also laid the foundation stone for the Janpad Panchayat Bhawan in Kolaras. He also inaugurated the new bus stand and shopping complex, which will provide a boost to transportation and business activities in the area. He also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the sewage treatment plant, which will be an important step towards improving sanitation and strengthening urban infrastructure in Kolaras.
