Chief Secretary Directs Departments to Clear Retirement Cases Before Superannuation : High-Level Review of Key Schemes, Recruitment, Citizen Services and Administrative Reforms
Raipur, August 11, 2026: Chief Secretary Vikasheel chaired a high-level meeting of all departmental secretaries at Mahanadi Bhawan to review the progress of key government schemes and departmental programmes.
The Chief Secretary directed departments to complete all retirement-related cases before officers and employees superannuate and prepare department-wise lists of employees due to retire at regular intervals. He also instructed departments to prepare vacancy and backlog lists and complete recruitment against sanctioned posts.
Emphasising continuous monitoring, he directed secretaries to closely review the implementation of departmental schemes and important programmes. The meeting also reviewed Lok Seva Guarantee, RTI, Seva Setu, PM Gati/Pragati Portal, e-Pragati, de-regulation and rural development schemes. Officials informed that 728 services have been notified under the Lok Seva Guarantee Act.
The Chief Secretary further directed departments to monitor iGOT training programmes and prepare need-based training plans for officers and employees. Departments were also asked to compile information on reforms ahead of the proposed Reform Festival campaign. Senior secretaries and officials from various departments attended the meeting.
