Principal Secretary Sonmani Bora Reviews Departmental Schemes, Directs Timely Scholarship Approvals
Bilaspur, August 10, 2026: Principal Secretary of the Tribal Development, Scheduled Caste Development, OBC and Minority Welfare Department, Sonmani Bora, reviewed the progress of various departmental schemes during a high-level meeting in Bilaspur.
During the meeting, Bora directed officials to ensure timely approval and distribution of scholarships and to strengthen preparations for public hearings to be held from August 13 to 15 under the Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Utkarsh Abhiyan.
The progress of PM-JANMAN, Dharti Aaba Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, Eklavya Model Residential Schools and Prayas coaching institutions was also reviewed. Officials were instructed to ensure timely distribution of study materials, uniforms and nutritional support to students.
Bora stressed that government schemes should not remain limited to administrative approvals, but must deliver tangible benefits to the last person in society. He directed officials to regularly monitor implementation and resolve field-level issues on priority.
