Hotel resorts are available at four times the price for New Year; these smaller locations offer the best celebrations.

Chhindwara:  Preparations have begun to bid farewell to the current year and welcome the new. Tourist activity is increasing at tourist destinations. Even those who have booked hotels and resorts in advance to avoid the crowds are facing crowds. Hotels and resorts near Pench and the Satpura Tiger Reserve are difficult to find. In this situation, you can enjoy the smaller locations in and around Chhindwara.

Hotel resorts are getting rent at four times the rate

Anand Patel, who went to book a hotel resort to celebrate his child's birthday on New Year's,   said that due to full bookings in Tamia and Panchmarhi, rooms are being charged four times the rent. Therefore, he has now made his plans to stay in Machagora.

Full house until January 20

Raja Bhardwaj, owner of a private resort in the Pench Tiger Reserve,   said, "The year 2025 is now coming to an end. The new year 2026 is just around the corner. As always, the number of tourists visiting tourist destinations is increasing. Safaris in Pench National Park and Satpura Tiger Reserve are already booked. Resorts and hotels are running full. Tourists arriving without bookings are finding hotels at four times the price after wandering around in many places.

This situation persisted until January. From the last week of December to the first week of January, the Pachmarhi gates of Pench Park and Satpura National Park were full. Tourists had already booked their tickets for both national parks due to Christmas starting December 25th and the subsequent winter holidays. The situation continued until the first week of January and after January 20th.

Colorful parties will be held in the colonies

In most of the city's colonies, preparations for the December 31st evening celebration have already begun. On the night of December 31st, competitions and events will bid farewell to 2025 and welcome the New Year. Furthermore, grand parties will be held in hotels and surrounding lawns on December 31st night.

These tourist spots are also witnessing increasing footfall.

Machagora Dam, located in the Chaurai development block, has become a favorite destination for tourists. On holidays, people flock here in large numbers to enjoy picnics and sightseeing.

Devgarh Fort, located 42 kilometers from the city, is also a major tourist attraction. In addition to the fort, its stepwells and natural beauty are also attracting visitors. The homestays here are also popular.

Patalkot-Tamia, surrounded by the Satpura Hills, is also attracting tourists. The panoramic views, cloud-capped mountains, and deep ravines in this area remain a popular choice.

After Pachmarhi in the Satpura National Park, safaris have also begun in the Denwa buffer zone within the Chhindwara district. Unable to secure bookings at the Narmadapuram gates, tourists are also taking safaris from the Delahari buffer zone.

    In Pachmarhi, the waterfalls, fog, boating, and the pleasant weather amidst nature are attracting tourists. The situation here is such that resorts that used to be easily available for 4,000 rupees are now costing between 16,000 and 20,000 rupees.
