Cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi and 20 other children were awarded the Children's Award.

New Delhi . President Draupadi Murmu conferred the Prime Minister's National Child Award on children who have achieved exceptional achievements in various fields. On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, President Draupadi Murmu on Friday conferred the 'Prime Minister's National Child Award' on 20 children. These children have been selected from 18 states and union territories.

Among these children, India's young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi is achieving new milestones with each passing day. At just 14 years old, Vaibhav has created a stir in the cricket world and has set numerous records. For his remarkable success on the cricket pitch, he has now been honored by the Government of India. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been awarded the country's highest child award, the Prime Minister's National Child Award. President Draupadi Murmu personally presented the award to this promising batsman from Bihar at a special ceremony. Among the children receiving the National Child Award is Shravan Singh of Ferozepur, who served tea and snacks to soldiers on the border during Operation Sindoor

Veer Bal Diwas is celebrated to honor the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh's four sons. Guru Gobind Singh had four sons from his three wives: Ajit, Jujhar, Zorawar, and Fateh. They are also known as Sahibzadas.

All four sons were killed by the Mughal army on December 26, 1705. To honor their martyrdom, PM Modi announced that December 26 in 2022 will be celebrated as Veer Bal Diwas.
