The body of a young man missing for 60 hours was found in the Shahganj forest, with severe head injuries; suspicion of murder deepens.

A major revelation has been made in the case of 34-year-old Vivek Sharma, alias Avinash, alias Kake, a resident of Narmadapuram district, who went missing from the Satlapur area of the city late Friday night. Satlapur police found Avinash's body lying in suspicious condition in the Shahganj forest on Monday morning. The body bore severe head injuries, raising suspicions of murder. According to police sources, Vivek Sharma had visited Mandideep on Friday. He partied with Rahul Sahu and others at his friend Neeraj Sen's farm on Lorka Pipaliya Road. Neeraj Sen told police that Avinash left alone for Hoshangabad (Narmadapuram) in his Hyundai Venue car around 11 p.m. Afterward, he never returned home or was heard from. His mobile phone was switched off after leaving Mandideep. When his phone turned on Saturday evening, family members called, but an unknown person answered the call. He reported that the phone was found near a restaurant in the Ratapani area. Satlapur police station took the matter seriously, connecting the sequence of events and examining CCTV footage. The investigation suggests a case of murder. Although the police are refraining from making official statements, sources claim that four to five people are involved. Police have detained some suspects, while the search for others is ongoing. Police have gathered solid evidence and are investigating. A major revelation is expected soon. The body will be brought to Mandideep for a post-mortem examination, the report of which will reveal the exact cause of death. The family is in mourning and suspects murder.
