Raipur, 19 June 2025/A delegation of the Gonchha Mahaparv Organizing Committee led by Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Dev paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at his residence tonight.The delegation invited the Chief Minister to participate in the Gocha Mahaparva organised at the divisional headquarters Jagdalpur. He said that this festival which has been celebrated continuously for more than six hundred years is a symbol of social harmony and love in Bastar.

After Bastar Dussehra, this festival, which is the longest festival, has started with Chandan Yatra on June 11. Representatives informed that as part of the festival, Netrotsav Puja will be organized on June 26 and Shri Gonchha Rath Yatra will be organized on June 27.The grand festival will conclude with the Bahuda Gonchha Rath Yatra on July 5. On this occasion, the delegation honoured Chief Minister Shri Sai by presenting him 'Tupki' as per the tradition of Bastar.
